I am interested in up-grading from AC motor to the 24 Volt DC motor. has anyone out there tried this?

Though there are DC motor upgrades for Rega turntables, the Rega site refers
to a replacement 24V AC motor almost identical to the original except that its fed by a 24V 'wall-wart' transformer.
The advantage is that you could fit the Rega 'Neo-2' PSU, which would bring a significant improvement to the smoothness
of the motor.

Smoothness is the issue with my table/AC motor. If you are familiar with the last seconds of Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the machine" that slow then back to speed happens, not every time, but often with tracks not meant to. Thank you for your replay raiphfcooke!
