Hello,
which 21" drivers can you recommend for CB (for home cinema)?
Ideally the price shouldn't be higher than 400 € (350 pound).
Greetings,

Are you sure you need a 21" woofer? Why a closed box?
21" woofers tend to be designed for PA and are more expensive than € 400.

I am looking for an alternative for the Dayton Ultimax 18 (~400 €). I din't find a suitable 18" driver so maybe there is a 21". I have 120 liters (4. cf).
Better overall to buy relatively inexpensive higher Qt [4] 12" or 15" sub drivers whether put all in one place or preferably distributed around the room per Dr. Geddes.

That idea crossed my mind as well. But if anything only two 12" would fit in the enclosure (at the front).Better overall to buy relatively inexpensive higher Qt [4] 12" or 15" sub drivers whether put all in one place or preferably distributed around the room per Dr. Geddes.

I wanted an enclosure that is max. 55 cm wide/high and 50 cm deep.
Then there is the amping. I would need a 2 Ohm stable amp, because the way I see it there aren't that many 8 Ohm 12".
That being said, I personally would prefer one driver (per side).

I've seen some BMS 21s on sale, I think it's an older model. They may have been in the USA, tho. Worth a google search.
This one is very affordable and has been used by some german DIYers

Can it still be purchased?
@Pano: I will dig into it 🙂
XX-21 looks nice - here's a 150 liter box 2 pi
That box is big for a low Q driver - 100 liter with a series 500uF capacitor gives the following

The drivers do not have to be on the front. Using a pair of drivers, and putting them on opposite faces of the box, is advantageous.
