The last I knew the favored devices for input pair use were (npn) ZTX694 and (pnp) ZTX795. Do we still like those, or has something better come along? Thanks.
I'm sure others will chime in too, but recently I have been using BC550/560 (or higher voltage BC546/556, less Hfe), or KSC1845/A992, or 2N5401/5551. Don't really have a favorite, generally pick one of these based on voltage and power of the amplifier.
