It looks really similar, but name is slightly different. I wonder if they changed the name to avoid confusion with the Fostex FE83?
What about TEBM46C20N-4B BMR 3"? Using Patrick's formula it's 723. Would the flat cone make it easier to get higher extension? No frustom needed.

Hi Patrick, i‘m a little bit late to the party but would it be possible to buy the 3d-model of your unity horn? Keep up with your nice work
I never finish a project, so these never got completed, unfortunately.
I've made so many 3D models, it's difficult to keep up with all of them.
I have a github with some on there, named "craterlake" iirc
There's also a thread here on diyaudio where I uploaded stl files
I don't think this particular waveguide is in either place though
I generally save these designs to my laptop, not the cloud or github, and so when I get a new laptop I tend to lose track of where my old designs are. (And my old photos, and my old documents, and my old music collections, etc 🙁
I'm about 80% certain that I still have two prints of these in my garage, and I could throw them in a box and ship it to you for around $40 over the shipping cost. Basically the $40 is just to cover the time it takes me to box them up and drive it down to USPS
Here's the "catch:"
Both the woofers and the midranges are no longer for sale in the United States. Fountek went out of business, and the BMS distributor of the compression driver no longer stocks it. So if you're interested in this offer, it would be smart to buy the drivers off of me. But that raises the cost quite a bit, because the drivers alone are worth about $180 per side.
Shipping costs are horrendous these days, so the cost of the entire package would likely end up being around:
$250 for two compression drivers
$120 for eight midranges
$80-ish for shipping
$40 to get me off my chair and down to USPS
So, all in, close to $500
I totally understand if this isn't palatable. I have a ton of projects like this taking up space in my garage, unfortunately. When I used to live in Seattle it was easy to find local buyers for this type of stuff, but now that I live in Nevada, selling things locally is an uphill battle
EDIT: ugh, just realized you're in Germany 🙁
On a side note, if anyone on this forum would have any interest in buying a giant box full of projects, I would probably be down to make a deal, with the understanding that you have to take a BOX of them. Like, a hundred pounds worth of speaker drivers and waveguides.
Bill Waslo did something similar when he moved a few years back, and I think that was smart. I have projects going back thirty years that I'm never going to finish and I could really use some space in my garage, it's getting ridiculous. Lately I've been donating inexpensive speaker drivers to charity, locally. But I'm not too keen on donating esoteric stuff like this, since I doubt the average person shopping at a charity thrift shop is looking for Unity horns.
