Yesterday I tried CT7601SR, the cheapest version of Comtrue, just $2.5. It should support only up to 32/192 and DSD64 but actually, with CT7601CR(32/384 DSD256 $4.5) FW it plays 32/384 no problem at all with Foobar2000, however, with Android it automatically recognized as <=192k interface. Interesting, looks like artificially limited data rate. Current consumption is exactly the same for CT7601SR and CT7601CR.
Have you looked into Nuvoton's NUC505 series? It's not clear how fast you can drive the I2S, but it does support USB FS and is fairly inexpensive. NUC505 Series - Nuvoton
USB-HS rather.Have you looked into Nuvoton's NUC505 series? It's not clear how fast you can drive the I2S, but it does support USB FS and is fairly inexpensive. NUC505 Series - Nuvoton
Yes, unfortunately like the other microcontroller based solutions, it would require writing a UAC2 stack on top of whatever USB-HS code Nuvoton supplies.I just tried to google for "nuvoton nuc505 UAC2" but nothing..
Hi, Nice to meet you! I live in Shenzhen for more than 10 years, do you live in See World?Mainland-chinese agents, FAE, "engineers" etc in most cases very low educated accidentally hired farmers. The only chance to get something is direct realtek contact but they NEVER reply.
PS: realtek could delete ADC/DAC area from that chip to reduce QFN case to 24pins i.e. 3x3mm! And less price such USB bridge may beat all future products from big monsters like Ti, ST, On etc.
I am an Audio Engineer, work with these solutions for a long time, I agree with you, the FAE of TAIWAN chip companies are dumb, I use lots of XMOS, CMEDIA, SAVITCH, TI...
I work for SHANLING for a long time, Now I work for SMSL, maybe we can do some co-operations.
Hi, not only Taiwanese companies FAE so low educated, I had communicated with IR, NXP, TDK(actually much more but with these 3 I had some long term argue) FAEs as well, are the same shamefully ignorant staff. Decent engineers in China making money, they are super rare and have no time for FAEing.
