This will be interesting to watch!
Maybe you should list it with a crazy high BIN price of, let's say, $5,000 to see if some rich person will bite.

Mind if I ask what the cause is for the fundraising? People tend to be willing to open the wallet a little more for good causes.

Sure, no problem. The proceeds are going to support Burning Amp, the annual DIY Audio event held in the fall in San Francisco. The money will go towards keeping entry ticket prices down, venue rental and other associated costs, and for securing future venues. More info here
BurningAmp : The annual audio DIY event at Fort Mason, San Francisco CA for audiophiles who make their own equipment, components for amps, speakers, and parts.
or just Google "Burning Amp" and look at the images associated with it for some examples of what you typically find there.
The auction has now started. Link to the auction is:

The auction will end on OCT 6 at 10:03 Pacific Time (UTC-8). I apologize for the brief description in the auction text. Interested parties should refer to the following document (also linked in the auction text):

Again for emphasis, this is a fundraising auction. The proceeds will go to supporting future Burning Amp events.
A very heartfelt thanks goes out to Nelson Pass for donating the amplifier.

Charlie,
Just curious if this is the same amp at BA2015 last year?
Cheers,
Dennis
I'm not sure, to be honest. I was busy with my own demos and lecture so I didn't have a chance to see it. If it is similar, it should have double the output devices.
Maybe someone who was attending last year can clarify?

No. This one, #02, was assembled a month or so ago. There were a total
of 8 of these made, representing the quantity of TO-3 First Watt type heat
sinks in stock here.
Two have gone to Japan, Two sit with business partners, One for Mr. Fullrange,
This particular unit and,
Two for me.
😎
"Two sit with business partners..."
I like the double meaning...
I was looking forward to bidding but others quickly left me in the dust! 😱

I just did an Ebay search on "First Watt" and the awesome auction amp didn't come up.
It's because it's listed as "FirstWatt". Adding the space may get more traffic for the auction, cheers.

Ah, well that's unfortunate. I don't think I can change the auction title at this point.
Here is the direct link to the Ebay auction again:

Charlie,
There are a few things you can change that might help: Restrictions on revising listings
For example, if you add "First Watt" to your item description it is possible it will get triggered in the search.
There is also something called an "optional listing upgrade" which can be added - I've never done that myself though, so not sure how that works.

That is correct. If you add "First Watt" to the description it will hit when searched.
Hey, great idea. I some more text at the end of the item description. But you will still not find it in your search results if you put "First Watt" and do not check "search title AND description".
