Desperate for cash- gotta sign up for summer and fall semesters, need to sell this brand new Mitsubishi Electric DLP asap.
What it is: Mitsubishi SD200U SVGA 2000 ANSI Lumen DLP Projector
For good details: http://www.netbored.com/mitsubishiprojectors/sd200.htm
What you need to know: Asking $750. This thing has uner 30 hrs on the bulb, and no remote- all features are accessible through console on unit itself.
This thing is 6.5lbs, and compact. I really need money, and since it costs about $500 to build your own, you might as well get this pro quality and compactness for a little more. I guarantee you cannot get a deal like this from ebay.
All interested must contact me VIA EMAIL: trifonov@tampabay.rr.com

Not really -- try more like $1700 for XGA DLP, $1200 for SVGA... cheapest ones anyway. Thousands more? Maybe if you're looking for true home theater DLP projectors (Barco, Runco, Faroudja) or rear projections (Samsung, Toshiba).

But I see your skepticism -- a college student with two DLP projectors for sale at bargain-basement prices? Three if you count the one they posted earlier this month. The mind races... stolen? scam? hmmmm... Only one way to find out, but $750 seems like an awful lot to gamble with!

I just bought this projector from Sweetrobot arrived today in good shape. Good picture nice and bright. Just thought I put in a good word for him, he still have an Infocus for sale. Thanks again SweetRobot

LOL poohbear🙄
I paid $750 like he asked. This unit is still on sale at many places for $2000. I tried it out last night and it is even better than I thought. But the thing is I cannot get to the menus without the remote so Im looking for one right now. Looks good already without tweaking, and it is whisper quiet compared to my mp8750.

Yeap--Gotta love DLP! My Davis DL-450 was used for $600--it was only 500 lumens; I bet you can watch that baby in full daylight. I guess the tradeoff you have to make is the 1500 hour bulb.
Holy cow 6000 hours!!!!!
That will last you a long long time.
Those are not bad specs mikejz84. I think that is a good buy. What is the current lamp hours?
Yeah 2k lumens is good enough to use with daytime light as long as no sun is on the screen. 1400 hours will prob last me a year, I hope by that time I found another lamp for cheap.

Right now the unit has about 540 hours on it. Originally the bulb was advertised as 2000, but it was found to last longer and its rating was upped to 4000 and then 6000. The only thing is that the replacement bulb is about as much as I paid for the projector in the first place; however, when it finally does come due for replacement by that time I think it will be really hard to find, and in all odds not worth it to replace it.
i just picked up an epson 7500C XGA 800 lumens 300 contrast for $405.00 from ebay. Guy gave me a 10 day return so if it doesnt work i can return it.

Yeap; I am very happy with my DLP projector. It was what killed DIY projection for me; and I have no regrets. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13298
