2 x 10 inch driver selection for dual opposed subwoofer

The dual-opposed design really does cancel vibration very effectively. Imho, well enough to reduce the advantage of cast frame baskets. Especially if you use a cancelling rod (or many) to mechanically link the 2 drivers internally. Like what KEF does with the KC92/62.

Since you'll have DSP, the box size is less critical, esp with sealed. Peerless SLS10 drivers would work fine in this context. The 8.3mm Xmax is probably good enough since you'll have 2. A 70-80 liter box, with a rod slightly tensioned between the magnets of the drivers. FA251 driving the drivers in parallel.

It's probably the most cost effective combo. You should be able to find the SLS10 near you.

Please, stay on topic. There is nothing on-topic in this post

Dayton has many who can fit your needs, Beyma has the 10BR60V2 that is very cheap but also very good as sub in the right cabinet. The Ciare HS251 is also good but a bit more expensive than the Beyma (that is better).

I would go for one of the Dayton RS, RSS or UM series or the Beyma 10BR60V2, whatever fit's best for yoru cabinet.

Yes it does!

Roughly 72L sealed section with isobaric configuration.

@svp if you can handle a couple extra inches of width, perhaps consider the BK Electronics Fab-12:

Very similar specs to the Lab 12C, which is happy in small enclosures. An opposed pair of these in net 65L or so, with a bit of DSP EQ, should go very nicely.

Thank you, did not know this brand, could be a feasible candidate for bigger version, but I will stay on 10 inch for this one.
Right now the 2 x 8 Ohm SBA looks like the safe bet, or 2 x 8 Ohm Beyma because of pretty good bang for buck. Not sure if 2 x 4Ohm will work better.

I am not in a hurry, will make some research on Hypex plate amps and 2 Ohm loads for them.

From what I understand, BK had for a long time used the Lab 12 driver in their Monolith sub model, and more recently developed this driver as a slight upgrade. A bit more xmax and power handling, larger VC, rubber surround, but otherwise very similar specs. No idea where it is actually manufactured, but BK Electronics is a UK-based company.
