2 way horn setup.

Hi all,

I'd like to build a pair of speakers with a closed or BR-bass enclosure and a compression driver with a wooden horn.
Since this is more of a tryout (and little knowledge of speaker design) I'd use not too expensive units.
The tweeter could be the Beyma CP380.
Any recommendations for the woofer (high efficiency) ?
What crossover frequency should I choose ?

You will have to look for something with a little more extension up to at least 500Hz.

Hi,

Forgot to mention that the speaker is to be used in an
hifi setup rather than PA.

Leeuwarden : which woofer do you recommend ?

As far as I remember Benny Glas from Aquablue mentioned the 70BR100 as one of their better units. But I'm not quite the person to ask because my knowledge of speakers is not that good.
Maybe you can ask Benny. The better units are also useable for Hifi.

Edit: I mean the 12BR100!!
