Would a box with 2 subs sound the same as 2 subs in two seperate box's if the Cu ft were the same....ie:
2 subs in a 3.0 cu ft box be the same as
2 sub in a 1.5 cu ft box ea.
Also would the power output be the same as in would they handle the same power in either config.
Im building a 4th order box with 2 subs and want to know if I should build it with 2 sealed box's of smaller cu ft or put them both in a bigger cu ft box as I need to know if they would handle more/less power and if they would hit lower in one config. or not.

One very big benifit to using two seperate boxes is the abilit to place them in different locations in your room. This allows you to better smooth out the in room response.
It shouldn't make much difference but you can tell. I think it has more to do with the different panel sizes than anything else. IMHO.
