I want to build 2 subs and drive from 1 amplifier.
Which would give the best sound.
2 x 4 ohm drivers connected to give 8 ohms or 2 x 8 ohm drivers connected to give 4 ohms I.e series or parallel my amp can drive either.

Most amplifiers deliver more power into a lower impedance (unless they current limit), and more power gives greater headroom, generally perceived as sounding better.
Damping factor would be better at a higher impedance, but that would only be an issue with very long, thin speaker wire.
