Has anybody tried using one of the panels in a 35mm slide projector. Is the resolution enough for a large TV application rather than a high res projector.

I read that someone tried it, but it was too hot for an lcd. It would probably just turn into a blurry picture because of the heat, and possably melt to LCD.
do you remember who has tried this or any links to information. The problem of overheating could be overcome with the addition of a fan to blow across the LCD and an IR filter betwwen the LCD and the light source.😕
I do not remember the link, but even if you were to overcome the heat problem, i do not think your picture would be that good. Most sp's have small lenses, and are not made for hug pictures. I think the best solution would be to build a projector with a 5 in lcd.
