This may be silly, but here goes....
Is it possible to use 2 separate output transformers at the output of a push-pull amp, 1 on either side of the HT centre tap?
I'm thinking of converting a small stereo amp with single ended output stages to a more powerful mono amp
(guitar use, so linearity isn't that important)
Cheers,

// TRANNIES.
Hi,
On the primary side the current is divided over the 2 windings,the secondary is combined in a // way so that the 2 16 Ohm windings give a 8 Ohm output and so on.
Should work.
Hi,
You can probably even go class AB (be sure your OPTs are rated for max DC current), I'm not sure.
