I'm looking for some bass blockers for my infinity refernece 4x6s. The problem I'm having is that I can only find bass blockers for 4ohm speakers. Can anyone please shed some light on what I need to do I'd like not to blow them
There were the original Bass Blockers that were a capacitor and a parallel (drain?) resistor. Knock-offs are simply capacitors. You have to know what crossover frequency you want. Then you can select the proper capacitor.
thanks, I'm thinking around 300-400hz. Also I have some kicker 6.5s on a 300.1zx at 2ohms. Is there a really low blocker (I was thinking 75hz?) I could get for them that could handle the 150rms power I'm pushing them at?

It would be difficult to find a capacitor that would not withstand the voltage required to produce 150w. When you buy the capacitors, it they're electrolytic capacitors, you'll need bi-polar or non-polarized capacitors.
