I just built a Bluetooth speaker for my wife with a 20w amp and a alpair 7p. The box is approximately a 7 inch cube sealed. My wife has been complaining that it is not portable enough and at low volumes there is a bit of feedback.
She loves it when it is turned up though and we got a bunch of compliments at our Christmas party.
I am looking to build a smaller speaker. I already have a 10w amp and I am looking for the best lightest 2" speaker I can find in the 10-20 w range.
Size wise I am thinking a 3-4" cube sealed. price wise I am thinking $20-30

Does any one here have any thoughts or feedback on drivers in this range?

The 65mm square BMRs are worth a look.
I use 4 of them in ~2L ported, tuned ~150Hz. Big peak before rolloff gives the impression of having some bass.
A little distortion sets in early, but is tolerable until you're getting really loud.

Agree with chris the small BMRs are a good choice. They work well in a small cab and will provide adequate enough bass for a portable speaker.
These are the ones I used

I am not finding much on them state side. how about these? AuraSound NS2-326-8AT Whisper 2" Extended Range Speaker Driver 8 Ohm
How about these? Think also of perhaps two drivers stacked like some of the Bose satellite modules.
