Hi,
I'm refurbishing a 16-ch mixing desk with 2x4-ch expansion units, which are attached with the illustrated IDC connectors; unfortunately he main loom on the main desk side got yanked out (probably 20 years ago)
The female headers need replacing, and I'll need to reconstruct the looms on the expander side to make up the lost length (and replace one section that's AWOL).
Pin spacing 2.54 mm; pin thickness 0.65mm (square). Marked 'Panduit' but they don't appear to make these any more.
There's a bewildering selection of IDC connectors available but most seem to be either multi-row, for ribbon cables, and/or require a really expensive crimping tool.
I thought it would be easy but I'm lost! 🙁
Can anyone recommend a single-row 2.54mm connector, for discrete wires, that requires at most a cheapish punchdown tool?

The hand punch-down tool for the "MAS-CON" connectors is a Panduit MRT-100F, the handgun tool is the MCT with the CTD-100F head. I have both plus lots of the connectors. PM me with details and maybe I can help.

Hardly anyone stocks either of them, and no-one has both - I spoke to Pancon and the larger pin counts (>8?) seem not to be current production - unless you want 2500+ 🙄...
So, if repairing, make up from 2x6, or 2x7 or other smaller, stocked connectors. CE (End) series could be used at loom ends; these seem easier to get than CT (Through).
