This is my first time posting to the forum, but I have been following this forum for years. I want to build a soundbar type setup with a sub. I came across this today on YouTube. From what I gather here, this should not sound good. But it does look beautiful. Please talk me out of buying these plans. I really want a soundbar type setup for tv. Could this be done with full range speakers and a sub? Or does anyone have a link to where I could find plans for something like this. This is primarily for tv, movies, and my ps4 games.

Hey Rafi! I've never tried to do this myself, however I have come across a 2.1 plate amp that may help you at Parts-Express.

I used the Overnight Sensations as a starting point. Having the subwoofer external to the sound bar is very helpful.

Audiowize that looks great! That is essentially a 3.1 setup you did correct? Would it be better to do a 3.1 , 2.1 , or a wmmtmmw setup with no sub. I am trying to go for a sonos playbar type sound or better.

That plate link looks like a good power source for everything.

If you can't at least put the drivers on the correct side of the wood, you may want to pass on that one.
I don't have a ton of photos of the bar, though I have on or two before I put it up.

So you just did 3 overnight sensations as a 3.1? How is the soundstage?

Audiowize... did you run yours as a 3.1?

I did when I first set it up. I got a Dayton box/15" woof/plate amp to go with it. Eventually, I added a set of 3.5" Mark Audio monitors as my rear speakers.
