2.1 module preferably w BT Aptx HD

Hi good people.
I am building a 2.1 speakersystem to be powered from batteries, an Xbox supply and the electric system of a tuktuk - Depending on different uses.

Therefore it has to run well on 12-14v All speakers are 8 ohm minimum. Fullranges says 12w rms, so I would like something like 2x30w + 60w 8ohm, but more or less is ok.

Any suggestions will be appresiated.

Cheers!

Thanks Cacao. I didnt think about using a booster. If using such monoamp you mention - I will just have to make a passive highpass for the fullranges, to allow higher volume without damaging them. Shouldnt be too hard I guess.

Cheers!

Hi Guerrila,

I am trying to help you here. Something is highly confusing. You are ttying to power it from a Tuk Tuk, but you live in Denmark?

The misconception many people have is loudness depends on how much power you have? Actually it is also dependent on the speaker you have. To get maximum loudness, you need to choose a speaker that is 4ohm and very high efficiency. For example PA drivers are very high efficiency, there are some which are close to 100db/watt. Which essentially means at 1 watt, will be louder than many speakers out there being driven at 10 watts.

Your wattage depends on how many ohms your speaker and how many volts your supply. Running from 12V, you can expect a maximum of 20W into 4 ohm.

Thank you Oon and Drmordor.

Tuk Tuks have become cult in Denmark. This one is with a small closed cabin, so I dont think I will need more power. I have heard the speakers driven with less as desktopspeakers, and it was plenty loud for me.

Cheers!

Interestingthing about tuk tuk. Is it generally for personal use or commercial reason. As for the speakers, have you chosen them yet? That is probably the most important factor that will impact the sound.

As for the amp you might want to consider something already in a box. They don't really codt that much more and will save you a lot of work.

Look for TPA3116 nobsound.

Lots of models from them.

Lautsprecher Shop | Tang Band W3-871B Silber | Lautsprecher Selbstbau This one i used in my old car driven by a headunit. I bought it cause I liked the sound from it in my desktop speakers

Both speakers and sub will be in aperiodic cabs

In Denmark 16 year-olds are allowed to drive mopeds only. At some point someone started to sell tuktuks for pensionist and comersial use, and now some young people desided that its nicer to drive them in rainy weather instead of a nprmal moped.
