1500VA...what do do?

I have a 1500VA transformer laying about that can deliver 50, 55, or 62 VAC depending on how it's wired (no center tap). I am not a fan of big hardware for a single channel (Pass designs) because of the size. So classA in general is pretty much out... but what else would you do? build a 5.1 integrated amp for a whole system? a house-destroying sub-amp? a 3-way stereo+sub amp? Would you make it discrete or all chip amps, or a combination of them?

Looking for ideas. Think outside the box. Winner receives a 😀
 
Triamped stereo set up.

AC coupled mid and treble, possibly class A or enriched AB.

Bridged bass amps to get rid of the coupling capacitors.

Use 50V (bridged) for bass, 62V tap for midrange, 55V tap for treble.

Never thought of that! Out of curiosity, why not use the 62V bridged for bass? Seems to me you want as high a rail as you can get for mo' power...

Anyhow, great idea.

It occurs to me that this is the perfect start for a VERY small subwoofer using ESP's P48 sub processor and P68, high power variant, bridged.

Just trying to balance powers a bit, 50v bridged = 100V.

Assuming 8 ohm :

50V only would give ~ 100w bass : 25W mid : 25W treble.

using taps = ~ 100w bass : 38W mid : 30W treble.

Of course its far more complicated than the above,
different driver sensitivities and impedances etc.
