Ya, that's why I decided to sell mine. All that wasted time getting nothing done and for what? They're just wallet suckers. You lose sleep worrying about them. You lose weight worrying about them, you're not allowed to drink in the morning. It goes on and on.
Best thing I ever did was to put them on eBay. Now I have retirement money.

They do indeed. Nothing much happening on my end. My work shop is coming along. Still hoping to bring a project to the FEST. Just need to buckle down and work on something!

I'll loan you these and I'll build something else in the meantime.

Kids or speakers? The former usually takes longer
Kids, new house, new job. Take your pic! Thanks for the offer Cal. I actually have some parts from last years fest that need to be built with! I have some ideas, just need to execute on something.

I have rented a little 4x8 enclosed trailer for this year. I want to bring:
1) 4x12" Community woofers with 12" Sammi Coax
2) 36" Cornu style with RS 40-1354
and if I'm feeling brave,
3) Onken style with 6.5" Airborne
That means I will have room for both equipment and passenger (1) if needed.

Looking good Cal! If I can get in the workshop for a fee hours I might have something to try with those woofers!
Dug: looking forward to that. I have an unmodded red YJ that I've been listening to for months and a 2.1 model that I have not really used yet. You've done some mods right?

Doug,
Start early and take plenty of breaks. There's lots of good roosting spots along the way.
Kyle,
That's 4 woofers and a Coax in each cabinet. It's a tri-amped system

My own boards.
🙂
You can ask Dave and Chris about them. I just supplied the drivers thanks to a raffle. They are more than I expected. I have liked that style of cabinet more than any other ported.Looking forward to it, Cal.
Your Onken/Airborne looks interesting, be brave !
Me too my friend. You, me, the others at the fest, and the neighbours for about a kilometer in all directions are likely to experience these babies whether they want to or not. 😉Right - can't wait to hear it!!
Maybe a tiger torch powered version. Whaddya think, Cal ? 🙂
With the weather we're having now, I think that's a great idea. If you distract Ruth, Scott and I will... 😉
Did someone say flames. Hmmmm
Looking forward to the fun.
Glad to see that Cal is bringing some of his creations this year.
I like big bass.
See you then

and I cannot lie
you other brothers can't deny
that when ....
etc
Dug - it'll be interesting to compare a bone stock YJ kit version of TPA3116 integrated ( SMPS) to a hardcore (gotta be if flying out for the event) DIY build

Each of the units I am bringing holds it own in their respective category.
Me likem big bass too

I was just thinking.
Now, before you guys start say thinking's not my forte, I am being serious here. How am I going to get that wee little trailer with the short hitch up the driveway? Backing would be near impossible with a manual, so I guess I'm a gonna go nose in, unload it, unhook, move it out of the way, turn the truck around and then re-hook it so I can drive out when I leave? This is going to take some serious drinking, I mean thinking to sort this out.
Scott, where are you? I need your help. Is your truck stick or auto? What size is your ball? Did I really just ask that?
