I have a Crown XLS2500W which is rated for 110 V mains. There is a white peg in the rear against the 110 V setting. I have turned it on with a 110 V transformer and it worked fine. Been in storage since.
After shifting house I forgot it was a 110V unit and plugged it into the 230 V mains. The display comes on and after a few seconds says error . First it said Error 4 then Erro9 by which time I switched it off. The top red led on the right channel came on. Nothing on the left channel.
After a while I suddenly realised it was a 110V unit. I opened it up and had a look and there was no apparent physical damage. No discoloured or burnt parts and no tell tale 'smell' . No exploded capacitors !
I will try it with a 110V transformer next but before doing that would anyone know if something could have been damaged ? I expected something to blow if the supply was too high. Is it protected against such a thing ? There was no sign of any damage.
Another question is can this 110V unit be converted to 220 V. I read on another forum that the jumper Z901 has to be cut to operate at 220 V. Someone tried it and said it did work for about 20 minutes when he wrote the post. But there was no follow up and so no idea if it is OK long term. Does anyone know about that ?
Any schematic available anywhere ? Thanks in advance for any info.

It has a SMP Supply so will shut down with over voltage. Consult Crown for voltage changes.
