Amplifier is 250K Z with variable gain... I use it at full gain 30V.
Speakers are 100db.
I use both dac (2.0v) and phono (cart 4.0 mv and phono stage 330 output z) as my sources.
I am currently using a passive preamp with a 10K input z. It works well, even on phono.
I would like to purchase a more robust pot though and I am wondering if I should change the value to 20K and what the effects would be if I do so.

20k instead of 10k means slightly less distortion in the source, and slightly more HF rolloff from the cable. It is extremely unlikely that you will notice the difference.
