100 watt KT88/6550 Designs

The difference between 50 to 100W is barely 3dB, and isn't asking much as the headroom of most driver stages should be easily able to tackle this....It was my very first build amp in 1957; the KT88-50W, later swapped the o/p stage to fixed bias with a higher B+ to 580V, that 100W was achievable with the KT88's at that time. The performance of the see-saw phasesplitter may be objectionable and can be improved, but this 3 stage amp can deliver.
The KT120 or KT90 should easily swallow this design.

I bought 10 Chinese EL156 only two worked at all; sent them back to the factory for returns.
The returns where even worse none of the ten worked any where near specks some totally dead or tested very low.
They had octal sockets.
