No wonder manufacturers find ways to exaggerate the specs... because they have to compete with other manufacturers doing the same thing . Playing the numbers game.

Frequency response means absolutely nothing if they don't tell you at what point they are taking it from. Yeah...It'll play a 19hz tone or even lower, but it could be 10dB lower than at say 50hz.

They should just go all the way and say freq resp. 5hz- 50khz+ because it's likely they do play those frequencies...just not as efficiently.

If you look at a very potent 10 inch subwoofer on the market, the SVS PB10-ISD, worth 429$ USD...

Yes, it will do 19 Hz anechoic, at around 104 dB with full 300W imput. It will also play louder in room.

It's a TCsounds design, but it's at the very least 3 cu.ft internal net, because it's around 3.6 cu.ft external.

So, unless you don't want it to be loud, to get good SPL at 19 Hz in a 1.5 cu.ft box, I hope you have a lot of money.

Thanks for the responses. I did'nt really think it was achiveable but who knows.

I have been going back and forth on wheter I should build smallish stereo subs large vented or IB.
In the past I had a cheap pair of Def. Tech speakers that put out respectable bass (no sub), so I was curious if there claims had any bassis.

I guess you could do it for about 950$ USD then you add the cost of the box.

You'll need a Adire Audio Brahma 10" (350$ USD) with a Adire Audio ADA1200 1200W RMS into 4 ohms amplifier (600$ USD) with the Linkwitz Transform circuit enabled.
