Standard 1% resistor selector
allows you to enter an arbitrary resistance value and returns the nearest standard 1% tolerance part.
I got the formula in cell F12 from EDN a few months back. It was originally developed by a couple people at TI. No, I didn't type all that. I scanned the page, then used OCR to convert to editable text, then plugged it into the spreadsheet.
I have protected the sheet to prevent accidents, but you can unprotect it if you want to copy the formula to another sheet- there is no password on the sheet protection.
