I have an svs pc2000 and a ported Dayton classic 12 in 5.2 and I want to replace the dayton with something closer to the svs subwoofer. The livingroom is 11x13' with French doors opening into the dining room. I know the driver selection has been done to death, forgive me ahead of time. I'm stuck between a ported peerless xxls 12 at 3.35ft (95l) @24hz, 3.67ft (104 l) @22hz with a 300w amp or a ported eminence lab12 at 3.25ft @24hz at 500w? The peerless would have a similar driver but the eminence will take more power before break up.
"Closer" in what sense?I have an svs pc2000 and a ported Dayton classic 12 in 5.2 and I want to replace the dayton with something closer to the svs subwoofer. .
You'd get better bass if the subs complemented one another rather than duplicated one another.

At first I thought I wanted to match the deep extended bass. but you brought up a good point since the svs doesn't do well from 50-80hz and the 95l peerless or eminence would be better for mid bass.
