DUAL CV 1280

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a clue how to remove these bulbs?

24V/1,2W

Thank you. Jan.

The bulb probably is just pulled out of the socket. Recently, I changed small bulbs like this on my car, only 12V 1.2W. They are located on the dashboard and on the third brake light. They are small, so I used tweezers on which I put a heat-shrinkable tubes.

It is possible that they cannot be pulled out of this socket, maybe they were like that ones on old cars (Golf 2), bulb leads were soldered to sockets. Then everything changes together. I think it is best to remove the socket with the bulb, and then see if the bulb can be removed.

Many thanks to all of you !
Nixie: Yes, it is soldered on the sides to the socket, that is the reason it can´t be pulled out.
Stuey: I would like to turn the socket; however, it is soldered from the top to the board, so I cannot turn it around without risking damage to the board traces.

Hi, everyone.
I opened the amplifier and examined the soldered side of the circuit board. It is a semi-SMD board with many components on it. I have ordered replacements for the capacitors, but I see that replacing them will be too difficult for me due to very little space between the solder joints. With a normal soldering iron, I wouldn’t be able to change them without risking damage to the SMD components from heat.

Hi all, I recapped the amp. Everything plays OK, no hum or buzz, but I have strange issue now.
When I put cover on the amp I heard loud static noise in my speakers.
What is more scary: when I unplug some devices (CD player) from the socket, where the amp is plugged in, I hear loud noise in speaker too.
It´ s like the sound you hear, when some cap is failing in yor amp.And CD player is not even connected with audio cables to the amp.
Otherwise the sound is excellent.

Does anyone know the reason?

Thank you very much.

Hi czgagi,

I replaced the capacitor with the electrolyic cap, but it stays the same.

When I touch the chassis with the srewdriver, nothing happens.

But when I take the cover and touch it, I can hear static sounds in my speakers.

Where could I look?

I replaced all the electrolytics. It was very hard job, because solder joint was sometimes among the SMD components.

So I have checked all the solder joints and everything looks OK.

But the sound is so nice........

Thank you.

Ok.In the picture"Board" you see the black wire going to the transformer grounding point.
The next pictures are just for to see the upside of the board and the connection from the transformer.
I´m just thinking now.
Could it be caused by the high offset or idle current value?
It´s got two trimmers for adjustment. But TP points are not separate. You have to measure it on the transistors.
I´m a bit worried about it.
