I would say the A1837 could to be fake, the "A" and "8" should be intersected. However I'm not betting any money on it, they might have changed markings at some time. For a fake, the marking looks rather good otherwise, so unfortunately, you need to measure/test them to be sure.

(I don't know that site, but these seem to be genuine parts.)

You might be right..... 2sa1837 does not look the same as 2sc4793..... seems like 2sc4793 is original but 2sa is not.... and it is different series numbers from pictures of series nu.bers i saw on one of major sales companies online where i got them

They are made 5 years apart, unfortunately the manufacturers consistency when marking components is not great, but the plastic moulding looks good to me and the boxes are the same, I think these are legit parts. I would scrutinize the plastic case carefully rather than the laser marking.

I'd give the parts a "thumbs up", now that I have seen the boxes. It really might have been a change in the production process. (Usually, semiconductor manufacturers nowadays oursource the housing, testing and marking to other, specialized, companies - at least that happened with our products. The packaging and the stickers are legit, very much like packaging we have with our Toshiba products.)

I can confirm - the parts look genuine - I have ordered years ago from mouser and the transistors and boxes are optically the same. So happy I have 1.5k each.
Really good stuff!

Thank you all for replies....
problem is, that first picture in my first post is what i received and parts on those pictures following are what seller claimed he will send..... seems to me those i got are not the same as those on the sellers website....
So, only the first picture in my first post is actually relevant i think because this is what i actually got.....

If you have a smart tweezer setting it to 0.2V level and testing pF between BC and BE you should get some answer...
Still think your 2SA1837 are genuine.

Number 3 is not round....
Letter A is not cut in the middle
Number 8 is not cut vertically in the middle and so on
...
Those i have look not.like genuine....
Unless that what Gary said is true and they signed them up differently in Malaysia...
Bit then, those on the pictures with packaging look differently from what i have....
Soo all this is very uncertain and i think i will go for TTA/TTC equivalent..
.. those are genuine for sure - that i am certain

I am not sure about these transistors, the 4793 ones look legit, but the print on the 1837 ones !?! Omg! NO GO.
Exactly
.. but as said..... this all is not for.me a bullet proof thing..... so, i decided i will go for TTC/TTA REPLACEMENTS....
...
Those i got are genuine... only the pinout is reversed.... can't have it all 😁😁

THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING
That’s a great decision ,
Also the 1837/4793 are available from https://us.profusion.uk/int/?_gl=1*...T*MTczNDQ0MzQ1My4xMC4wLjE3MzQ0NDM0NTMuMC4wLjA. , now they carry 2 brands: KEC and UTC
