It seems Better as the psssive radiator suspensions loosen up but that other box is huge (272—>68cm2 @ ~180 cm long )

Box design, size and driver choices make a difference..
You are comparing a (very) undersized 6L box with an Fb of 32Hz (8 Hz below it's driver's 40Hz Fs) to a 40L box with an Fb of 34Hz using a driver with an Fs of 35Hz and 40% more displacement.

6L box is very cool and a good effort. Can you retune it to 40hz? Would be interesting to see how the driver goes in native mode with an undersized box. The logitech 7" driver is mental in 15L, so a 14L box for such a small driver just seems a waste. I think that Epique would make for pretty cool looking and sounding W-FR-W in a tall and slim desktop monitor
I have an OEM PR much like the Epique with the same woven carbon being leaky issue. Mudhole carries a product called permagloss that can fill this up without much of a penalty. A couple of wipes with a cloth will do it, it wicks into the gaps
A (small) step in the right direction, but the box is still too small for the tuning achieved with no added weight.
If the impedance peaks either side of Fb were closer to equal, ~8 ohm, the frequency response would roll off a lot less at Fb.

I like Messing with big vented boxes (1/4 wave stuff) . These aren’t as exciting because my nuts aren’t shaking at 30 hz 😝

im guessing one of these in each corner or odd mulitples of the room dimensions might be better?
