It does seem to be the case. The port is open at both ends, as per the cylinder example that you have provided. It's gratifying that the simple analysis works so well.

It’s a 27 cm2 driver with a vent 1/3 that size . Pretty safe vent speeds?

yeah, I didn’t realize so many different resonances could exist based on the geometry of these sort of TL, sort if bass reflex types of designs?
