WTB Original Sony TA-5650 Service Manual

I recently picked up this integrated amp and am planning a full restore. I know the SM is available to download, but taking a shot to see if someone has an original with the bigger fold out pages they don't need anymore.

Not cheap on Ebay but maybe worthing adding to an Ebay's saved search & email alert as it may come up cheap at some point later. Perhaps try the folks on AudioKarma who may have a spare original. If just for ease of readability a local print shop should be able to provide a quality print of the PDF.

If you don't get hold of an original SM Vunce, it is a good quality scan and in color like the original. Would not hurt to download it anyway as a starting point.

Hope you do not find too many things wrong with the amp especially with the semi's. Caps will be easy to replace.

All good suggestions fellas, thanks. I downloaded a few docs from Hifi Engine but then hit my daily limit. I'll get the rest in a few days.
As for the original SM, patience is my friend on this one. Hopefully the saved searches I set up will bear fruit soon.

Unpacked the TA-5650 today and was very impressed with the overall cosmetic condition. The wood side panels look pristine!
But, what’s the condition of he most important parts….the VFET’s!
I removed them and followed the procedure outlined in SB#62

All tested good for the diode check.
Resistance ranged 1R6 - 2R1 for all.

I’d say the VFET’s are good and will proceed with full RestoMod🤩.

Probably will start another thread when the time comes….
