Hi all
There is some great contributions with open source designs and gerbers on diyAudio. The hardest part is deciding which one to build 🙂.
I think some of these have made their way to Aliexpress sellers. Sometime ago I came across the Ultimate Fidelity 100w amp on AE which appeared to be one of the revisions from the thread here.
Does anyone know of any boards/kits/amps from AE based of designs from here?

I would be concerned with AE vendors are stealing someone’s intellectual property. It would be better support and buy from Diyaudio store or direct from a group buy. You would certainly get better support if you have issues.

I was referring to open source designs where the the gerbers are freely available.I would be concerned with AE vendors are stealing someone’s intellectual property. I only know about the Apex FH9, called 100 Watt Ultimate Fidelity Amp. The design is awful, the chinese did not take the gerber files from this forum, made their own pcb.
The second amp, ist the DX Amp, designed by Carlos, Destroyer X. Not easy to find at AE. For a few month there was a LJM Mod available. Not much difference to the original DX Amp. The sound is quite good.
I dont know you are searching for...a finished board or a kit ?
I you want to buy a good sounding amp, finished board, have a look at the "GHX" Amp. Its a blameless amplifier built on the schematic from D. Self, showing in the i-net.

I added the missing coils to the output stage, 2,2 µh and a 10 ohm 5 watt resistor. If you want to tune the amp a little bit, you can add 100 nf capacitors to the bigger rail capacitors. They are missing. The bias is 65-70 mA, Rail +-45 Volt. I used a connex SMPS 500r.

If you want to build a very good sounding amp, have a look at this little amp https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/fh9-xrk-mod.406709/page-5#post-7620179
Gerbers and boom are available in the thread. You have to solder by yourself. I uploaded the gerber files to JLCPCB. All needed informations in the thread.
If yo only want to buy from AE, forget aubout the last Amp...
Kind regards
Peter

I think most designs are open source for personal use, though not stated most people take offense when someone profits without at least asking.
Aren't a whole bulk of threads on diyAudio about cloning this or that?
There's even a member cloning many different types of QUAD amplifiers and selling the boards, if I'm not mistaken. No idea why he doesn't get sued.
Carlos had his design stolen, out of respect for his memory, please do not buy them. The second amp, ist the DX Amp, designed by Carlos, Destroyer X
1 - small quantitiesThere's even a member cloning many different types of QUAD amplifiers and selling the boards, if I'm not mistaken. No idea why he doesn't get sued.
2 - as long as there are not patents involved there isn't anything illegal about cloning. There can only be a case being made about copyright infringement for the schematics.
3 - patents expire after about 2 decades
Talking of which, since the UCD Class-D patent expired a while ago, I am surprised not seeing any UCD clones.
As an homage to Carlos i have build a Blame ST AMP today... i have made a pcb from the DX Amp too...
I know LJM has a build an amp with very similar design and with similar name. Dont find it in the moment. If it is true that LJM made a mod of the DX amp, dont know. His name was on the back of the pcb.
I also think..dont buy such an amp.
