For Sale Sony TA5650 and VFETS for sale

Things you have for sale.
Never even got this project started. Worked for a few weeks when I got it- then went into protect. Removed the output vfets, worked as a phono pre for awhile just fine. No obvious internal flameouts after careful visual inspection. Phono toggle switch is a bit intermittent, and iirc, there are the usual dirty pots. None of the 2SJ18's / 2SK60's have been tested. They are all rank 54. [7 have an HA prefix, one is HC.] Still have all 8 mica bases and screws. Thought I'd throw this out at you fine folks first before launching into ebay trauma, lol! I'll test the vfets and post internal photos if there's any interest.

I can part this out separately, Leo. Waiting a couple of days for responses, but I figured the VFET package was going to get more interest than the whole chassis. I can still use it as a phono preamp. A big ugly one, lol!

Oops, apologies to the admins. Tried to start a new thread on this. I tested the VFETs and three failed. Selling the remaining 5 for USD $150.00 or best offer. Located in New Orleans area. The 5650 is available to part out. Thanks for looking! 3 2SK60's and 2 SJ18's.

Hi, TUBE. The entirety of the 5650 is still available, minus the output VFETs. Never tested anything else and put it back together a year ago. Those above pics are current. Put it back in my dead soldier pile to make room for more pressing chores. Happy to part out anything you're looking for. I'll ship the whole carcass if you'd like, but that would be insanely expensive. I had 2 inquiries about the internal circuit boards and the pre VFETs, but I never had the time to dissect it. It would take me at least a week to put that back on the bench, but I'm happy to do so. tfmthree@gmail.com Pretty funny typo on your post. LOL.

Hi, dabore! A UV meter? Interesting mod, lol! You have 1st dibs on the panel. I'll try to get it back on the bench later today. You want the side panels too? They're in excellent shape. PM me an offer. Factor my shipping from New Orleans USPS. My email link is on the previous thread entry. I do Paypal only. Thanks for looking!

Hi, donroth. I ran in to a lot of grief trying to ship the faceplate. Still not done. Freakin Netherlands, am I right, lol! Major projects [septic system collapse and blown F 150 tranny] have forced me to put the 5650 project on the back burner. It's on the bench right now with the cover off, believe it or not. Are these the terminal blocks you're seeking? Sorry about the sloppy pic. I'm exhausted. The block is like nos condition. Just checked. tfmthree@gmail.com

@tfm3 I'll go for it if you will do it. Did you get my prior email to your private email? I can send you my address. Just give me a total and we can do PayPal family and friend if you have PayPal. One last question when you have a minute - what is the distance from screw to screw on each side of the terminal block. I want to see if it is exactly the same as that for the crazy speaker terminal blocks I want to replace on the 8650.

I'll measure it from chassis thread distance after I pull it out. Later this morning. I'm all about Paypal- it's the only method I've ever worked with. How does $20.00 sound for the blocks? I'll clip the leads and leave the solder points intact. I have emails coming in all over the place. Let's do this again to be sure. tfmthree@gmail.com
