Ultraanalog D20400 Mark Levinson 35 repair or replacement

Hello everyone, when you turn on the ml 35 dac, the channels were noisy. I removed the compound with a hair dryer for three days. The fault lies in the cracked solder on the central resistive node... We need to disassemble the second assembly, and it's terrible... I was thinking about replacing it with a pcm1704 board. Does anyone have a layout of such a board? I read that the madrigal was officially put in place of the ultraanalog d20400. I also disassembled the 20400 to a bare board, I have an idea to copy it. Do those present have a desire to make a copy? I am ready to provide high-quality photos and sizes.

Hallo ML,

have you made any progress with D20400 clone? I have a KPS25s and want to clone D20400 modules or replace them with PCM63 boards. But if you are willing to save 20400 or repair them, I will follow your work. I have not been able to find PCM63 boards or their schematics anywhere.

Thank you.

Interesting! I need 2 d20400 for a Classe one dacs. I have tried an adapter with 2 PCM63 but it generates background noise. Someone on the forum comments that it is a very weak signal from the clock (the same thing happened to a Levinson 35). Where can I order them? How much do they cost? Thank you!

Hello,

I have a few questions:

1. Mark L., I noticed the module hasn't been repaired. Have you had a chance to look into repair options? Even though it might be costly, it could be worth exploring if parts like the OKI component are still functional.

2. Has anyone tested the D20400plus model?

3. Could someone explain why Wyqgyn received a ban? Was it related to fraudulent activity?

Thanks

hard and effortful but very good work. Maybe the old M72H035 (no datasheet and other information on the web) from OKI/Mitsubishi isn't faulty and thus a copy of this unit isn't too hard. Check out post #23-30 under

are to find some information so as a schematic diagram. Maybe the member "wyqgyn" will translate for us.
