Hello friends, again bothering you, I have a Hifonics BXE2500.1 amplifier and the problem it presents is that the power supply fets heat up and the supply voltage drops from 12v to 9v with a high current consumption, I have limited the supply to 2 amps and consumes them, if I increase to 5 amps, it consumes them. The strange thing is that the signals for the power supply and amplification are fine and there is audio at the outputs, I do not understand why the power supply fets heat up and the excessive current consumption, in advance greetings

Are the outputs swinging fully rail to rail?
Can you power up with no limiting long enough to see if they switch fully rail to rail at full current?
Are you sure that the PS gate drive signals are OK?
On these amps, the transistors at the top of the driver board (Q7, 11, 19 and 22) are always suspect and get replaced before there is any extensive troubleshooting. Do you have those on hand?

Have you done any work to the amp other than the 4 transistors I listed?
What was the complaint by the owner when the amp was brought in?

The initial failure was in the power supply, all the irfp064n were blown up, gate resistors and driver transistors were changed, before placing the new irfp064n I placed some used ones to test the functionality of the source stage, the new irfp064n arrived and the Place, when I was testing with the use fets, I noticed that if I moved the board the current consumption increased and I inspected the toroids without success
Yes, I did that with the test fets that I have, so I assume that there is already damage to the card, to some internal track or something similar
How about a damaged via?
Did you watch the drive signals for all 4 banks of PS FETs when flexing the board to see if/which changed when the current draw changed?
Do all heat up when the current increases?
