Used these for my first cable building project. The probably 20+ year old monster cables were getting pretty loose. They are expensive but well made and really grab onto the socket. If you trip on these things, you’re probably taking down whatever component you have them attached to.
Agree, but let's be honest: You can part with considerably more cash and still end up with something much worse than these connectors, so "expensive" is a somewhat relative term 🙂
I quite like them. I have tried a lot of RCA connectors, from very cheap to very expensive, and these are my favorite. I find them easy to solder to, and they accept large diameter cable. Most cheap RCAs are flimsy and can’t handle big cable, and expensive RCAs have no dedicated affordable for soldering the ground wire, leaving you to mush it onto the smooth sides somehow.
I really like the Neutrik Profi and their Rean RCA connectors. Well made, excellent cable retainers, and soldering is very easy. My favourites.
