Hypex - AliExpress genuine?

"Faking" something like a Hypex-module is a big job with uncertain returns IMHO. I'd think they are genuine as a starting point, however you have zero idea (or assurance) where they came from: They could be completely new modules (factory surplus), but they could also just as well be factory rejects, pulls, refurbished items pulled from equipment returned for service etc.

Also, if you buy from Aliexpress and the module is DOA you have at least a fair chance of being compensated, but if it is a repaired module that dies in 3 months then of course you get nothing as there is no warranty (and this scenario is probably more likely). To me that is the real risk of these "grey market" sources and given the asking price I would personally steer clear of this offer, but YMMV here.

Well, its quite possible that they are geniune. However, I looked at pictures of this module compared to the pics at hypex.nl, and there are for sure some minor differences, like the Aliexpress module is using white glue between components, while all the genuine Hypex modules I've seen (and own) use black glue.

Yes - it could an different revision. The one to the right is from the hypex.nl website. Note the five SMD parts in a row there, while the Aliexpress one has got four. Some writing on the PCB is also different. I must say that I am skeptical here..
