The famous violinist Viktoria Mullova posted this on her Twitter account: you'd think that someone at the bank would have heard of Bach, or had access to Google..
This kind of repetitive jobs are often offshored. It may be that the bank agent did not had a western culture backgroud. The issue is reciprocal: as example, I would be pretty helpless if asked for the name of a classical traditional chinese song.
Why would a bank suspend a transaction based on a for them unknown name?! And they want a reason for the transfer. That is none of their business.

True. But if you were employed in that position, it would make sense to ask someone with knowledge of Chinese culture about the wording. This kind of repetitive jobs are often offshored. In the past, a lack of knowledge about western culture was considered ignorance and therefore a shortcoming that had to be addressed. By what I see, now it may be just considered a mere accident, nothing to worry about at least on some istances.
Victoria Mullova is a russian citizen. Any transaction is monitored to check if it may trigger the asset freeze laws. Why would a bank suspend a transaction based on a for them unknown name?! And they want a reason for the transfer. That is none of their business.
Ah OK, I see. Discrimination based on country of birth. As if every russian born person is guilty of what happens there. She is in the west since 1983 😉
