I have received multiple requests to offer the XSD speaker cabinet as a flatpack. After speaking to my business partners, we think we can offer flat packs made of 3/4in birch plywood on the front and base plate, 1/2in birch plywood on the side wings, and MDF for the woofer array. They will be professionally CNC’d and so the fit should be perfect. You just need to do the gluing and screwing of fasteners yourself. Then finish them with your favorite paint/stain/varnish.

The flatpack will not have an interchangeable sub baffle for the midrange and tweeter like the prototype shown above. It will be cut for the PRV 5MR450NDY-8 midrange.
Here is the 3/4in birch veneer poplar plywood flatpack. Woofer array is MDF. It looks really nice and cosmetically perfect “Tru-Ply”.

Would you consider also offering just the woofer section at a reasonable price? That would be a total of ten pieces cut out of MDF.
Thank you. As you likely guessed, that is to allow the user to build the rest locally using the wood of his choice.
And for people outside CONUS, but who might like the option to have their pieces pre-cut, would it be possible to offer CNC files for sale?
While I do like a challenge, and have some basic woodworking tools, I also want my speakers to look good and fit together well. At the least, it would be very handy to have the option of getting the woofer/tweeter baffle made up.

I received a sample of the flatpack in all MDF. Nicely packaged in foam, hard corners, strapping and outer box. Nothing damaged. Very nicely packed.
The shipping from Texas to Virginia would represent a typical distance as Texas is centrally located and I’m on Eastern seaboard in the middle. UPS shipping was about $185.
