Are there any drawings of 4x12' slobs out there? I want to build slob boxes that you know work.
Attaches principle sketch.

Welcome to the forum. 🙂
If I may be so uninformed, what is a 'slob' -- and do you mean for '4 - 12 inch drivers' ?
Cheers

Hi,
4x12 what?
I take it since you're familiar with the acronym SLOB that you've looked at the original SLOB build at all?
Very best,

Thank you, Galu and AllenB -- maybe next time I'll summon my reserves and try a Search all by myself! 😳

I may have expressed myself a bit stupidly with 4x12. What I meant was 4 drivers in a slob in size 12 Inch, possibly 15.
Does anyone know anything about calculating these? Especially the slot and the volume which can work in different combinations.
I was researching the idea of a SLOB with a waveguide on front a few years back.
Came across this design by Bert Doppenberg in the BD Design forum.
I believe its based on (4) 12” BMS drivers.
Edit: Link to forum with more info.

I don't personally, but you're asking on the right forum -- there are plenty of HornResp and other experts lurking these halls. Maybe ask a Moderator to move your thread, if there's a more eye-catching spot. 🙂

A clear sketch showing exactly what you have in mind may help.
However, my searches reveal much discussion on SLOBs, but little on methods of calculation. All I can find is this:
"The general recommended slot area is 1/4-1/3 Sd for drivers with Xmax < 5 mm, and no less than 1/3 Sd for drivers with Xmax = 5 mm and more. Rear slot opening should be 1-1/2 Sd."
(Sd = effective area of cone, in square metres; Xmax = maximum distance a speaker cone can travel without distorting, in millimetres)
That means nothing to me, but it may to you since you are a SLOB enthusiast! 🙂
