Chadwick executive monitor need information for restoration ...help please

hi .. im looking for photos or any information on the Australian made Chadwick audio speakers .The model is Executive Monitor Made around the 80's Sometime.
I recently acquired a pair with the woofers missing ... does anyone have photos or any helpful info on them eg tweeter and midrange models and numbers .Apparently the woofers are modified Etone 245 ,any photos or information would be great as i dont know if any of the drivers are original or not. At the moment i have put in a pair of no name woofers in them and they sound really nice but i do want to put the original woofers in if i find a pair. Hopefully I am going to restore them back to original if i can get all the info ..please help

Etone seems a small operation, workshop scale, they sell speaker boxes, drivers, parts for drivers, and also offer repair services apart from complete speakers, my conclusion after a brief look at their website.
They may not be sold all over Australia, and I have no idea of their quality.

The Executive Monitor from Chadwick Audio Furnishings(NSW) was the top model in the Chadwick range and used a modified Etone245(300mm) unit in a rear vented transmission line enclosure with the Audax 160mm mid/range,25mm dome and an aluminium cone super tweeter. I have no idea how it compared to the imports,in the early 80,s,but many Australian designed speakers outshone the competition in performance and value at the top end of the market;unfortunately there was a cheap product area that supplied bulk stores and these inferior items still surface from time to time.A bit like the white van stuff .

and pinched from this thread (there are some other comments): https://www.stereonet.com/forums/topic/40792-australian-made-speakers-how-good/page/4/

It is important to understand a little history of Australian speakers.
Back in the 1970s, there were a lot of speakers built by the big stores, like Miranda Hi Fi, Encel, Douglas and so on. They were, first and foremost, designed to deliver maximum profits to the retailers and match the cabinets sold by that retailer. Sound quality was a secondary consideration. Then there were the likes of AMW, who were attempting to build speakers that could match the best designs available anywhere. Somewhere in the middle was Chadwick. I worked on a few Chadwick speakers over the years. They were OK, but not all that well designed, IMO. Better than the house brands from the big retailers, in most cases. In some cases, Chadwick supplied their speakers to the big retailers, but built down to the price demanded by them.

If as described you could turn the 4-way into a 2-way and only use the bass driver. The XO is usually the hardest part and a 4-way is far from trivial. Biamp and it would be breeze.

And i piched these (and cleaned them up a bit):

My Chadwick speakers are three way compact enclosures built from 16mm 5/8" particle board with vinyl wood grain wrap. The speaker cabinets were found to be in poor condition. The cabinets are badged and labelled Chadwick Home Furnishings, Chatswood NSW, The damaged mid range drivers were replaced with new to the original specification by a speaker workshop, much to the dismay of the technician. I mean, why would you? The 12" drivers are Eminence USA, the mid range sealed drivers are 4" paper cone and the tweeter is paper cone high end of UK make. When connected to a high current 120W RMS stereo integrated amplifier, the bass drivers are good, the tweeters are surprisingly exciting at times but the mid range is poor. The technician explained that the bass driver was absorbing all the power, the amplifier would be stressed at volume and that a 200W amplifier was really needed to give the other drivers a chance. The crossovers are unknown. It is not known whether the Eminence speakers are original or not. Perhaps my speakers are the Executive 12 and not the Executive Monitor 12.
E-Tone speakers were regularly used for staging PA systems at Australian live venues in the 70's. E-Tone ran a repair service for cones that had regularly blown during high volume concerts.

Check the coil resistance, could be that the drivers are off spec. , and lower resistance is drawing more current.
Perhaps the coils are not original.
This happens here, 8 ohms speaker coils are not available, they put 4 or 6 ohm coils.

I've an old pair of the Executive 12s that i finally opened up after years in storage. The ETONE bass drivers need replacing (518 is all that is stamped), will also rebox I think as the chipboard is falling apart. Anyone have details on the mid range?
