Zen V9 - Alternate Power JFET choices?

Hello,

I would like to experiment with a Power JFET build using the Zen 9.

https://www.passdiy.com/project/amplifiers/zen-variations-9

I'm looking to build it using Lovoltech LU1014D but want to use a current production part.

Can anyone suggest current SiC production parts?

Poking round I found these:

UJ4C075060K3S (N-OFF)

https://www.mouser.ca/ProductDetail/UnitedSiC/UJ4C075060K3S?qs=hd1VzrDQEGjVfGB6b9i7uA==

UJ3N065080K3S (N-ON)

https://www.mouser.ca/ProductDetail/UnitedSiC/UJ3N065080K3S?qs=byeeYqUIh0OYOU7Cis0jMg==

Which Power JFET is preferred N-ON o N-OFF?

The shape of the characteristic curves are different. In the Zen v9 & F3 the LU1014D is operated at the point where the transfer characteristic shows concavity, is triode like, at a Vds of ~2.5V. I don't see any such operating point for the UJ3N065080K3S, it's pentode-like.

well, that's the fact

LU in F3 ........ one must observe entire arrangement

it is having triodish transfer characteristic helped with significant degeneration , and cascoded to keep low Uds

that graph above - it is for solo LU(LD) - for my venerable eyes, far from triodish

when not degenerated, LU is crazy part, having multiple xconductance of IRFP parts, shown and verified in LuDEF - minuscule THD of amp without NFB, exactly because of that fact
