Hi,
I need to make a portable, powered, mono speaker.
Power source will be a 5v power bank. Need a compact, 15-50w output amp module that works from 5v supply. Anything out there? Ideas?
Thanks!

Are there better options than a TPA3118 60W Mono Amplifier Board (???) -- it would need a DC-DC boost converter to get supply from 5v to 20v. I assume there is an efficiency loss there. Looking for a more elegant solution...
No. It's just physics. 1 watt from 5 volts? Sure. But 15 watts from 5V is a struggle. 60W it right out.
Use a laptop battery, or 18650 cells in series.
More voltage, and more options.
Discharge rate at 60 watts will maybe cause a fire in power bank, which is dangerous, as you are asking 12 Amps from a 3.7V cell boosted to 5V.
That is Englishman speak, an American would use stronger language.

If you want to run a RPi Zero, then this is possibly one of the best options. You can select mono output in the RPi software. You'll need a good powerbank:

Alternatively, I use a number of these in BT speaker builds (stereo, not mono):

Here's a mono amp:

Apart from the RPi solution, I'm guessing you'll also need a 5v BT module:
