Balanced preamp

Good night (for these latitudes).
I bought an IFI ZEN PHONO phono preamplifier based on good recommendations on the internet.
Compared to other preamplifiers I have, some highly commented DIYs on DIYAUDIO and others like Project phono box; and the one built into my Marantz PM6006 amp, this IFI seems to me to be better in many ways.
But I notice low gain in the MM position (36 dB).
That is why I want to make a x2 or x3 line preamplifier with the SSM2019 IC in order to achieve some gain and at the same time take advantage of the balanced outputs that the pre IFI has.
I already have the IC SSM2019 since I had built the SOLIDPHONO phono pre from TNT magazine.
Is it possible to do what I have planned?
Can I take advantage of the balanced output of the IFI in this way?
Thanks.

If I place the next position that is for MC Hi, it is 48 dB of gain, is there no risk of producing saturation with a capsule that delivers 5mv?
That's why I was thinking of adding gain to the output of the pre IFI.
I was thinking of adding gain since with 36dB it sounds very low compared to CD player or tuner or networkplayer.
I also wanted to take advantage of the balanced output using the SSM2019 since my amp doesn't have balanced inputs.
But I can live with the 36dB gain.

That's 12dB more gain, a factor of four. I doubt it would work, but check.
You'd have to ask iFi if the MC input would tolerate say 50mV to 70mV input peaks without overload.
That could be about 17V peak output from the iFi, so not likely.

But again, just going from single ended to balanced gives you 6dB more gain, won't that be enough?
You could use the SSM as a balanced to single ended converter without extra gain.
Adding the extra SSM gain after the phono stage will increase the system noise level by the amount of the gain.

Rayma, you have convinced me.
I want to take advantage of the balanced output of the IFI Zen Phono.
But since the Marantz PM6006 amp doesn't have balanced inputs, I have to make a pre from balanced to unbalanced with gain 1.
can be done with this diagram, putting correct values in R1, R2, R3, and R4 for gain 1.
O usaar el SSM2019 con ganancia unitaria.

Yes, exactly. I would use the SSM2019 for this purpose, since that's what it is designed for.
It has internal laser trimmed gain set resistors that track well.

And if you do need more gain, which I doubt, you can change the gain set resistor.
For 0dB gain, you just omit that resistor.

Build carefully on a pcb, with suitable bypass capacitors. This is a low noise, wideband device.

Hello again. In the end I have built a preamplifier with balanced input and RCA unbalanced output.
I have used an assembled board sold on Aliexpress and bought a 4.4mm to 2 XLR cable, with Audio Canare cable.
Result, as Rayma said, a considerable increase in the output level and I don't know if it's subjective, but it seems to me that the registers sound better.
