I apologize if this was recently addressed here.
I plan to buy a kit from either Madisound -Sasandu or Troel- 6661
The only piece I have actually heard is the SB Acoustics Be tweeter.
-To be used in a mid sized, treated room
-Listen levels low-55-73db max
-Female vocal, Jazz mostly
-Pass Labs INT25 amp
I will be all for $5k or $7k depending on final choice.
Any suggestions?

The 6661: rather ugly design. The Sasandu: overly complicated cabinet: woodworking skills are mandatory. Both should sound OK (quite a pity if the designers would have messed that up). One could argue about the use of 6,5“ Purifi bass drivers in the TG design, you won‘t get the real low end out of them without additional Xover corrections. Same more or less applies to the SB design. TG hasn‘t published response plots, SB has limited data here. Brings me to the one million dollar question: did you consider other designs? It‘s a lot of money after all you will spend.
I would seriously look at Jeff Bagby’s Helios (original not common man CM), you get the SB Be tweeter in the metal waveguide plus the very good WO24P woofer that at your listening levels will be well under the distortion or extension limits. The PR set up will also stop any boomy or one note bass and the larger cone area will also help tighten up the bass. This is likely to suit your size room. Just my 2p worth.
If you have the room, for that budget you can have the Open Source Monkey Box with plans on this site, larger bass driver which is always useful, one of the best mid drivers around and a the Be tweeter. There is a floor standing version if you want to go down that route.

Guys, Thanks for helping me in my journey. Some additional background. Mark-The coffin box of the 6661 is no beauty, agreed. The Madi box is also no winner. I choose them more for the products incorporated. I did look at Meniscus offering but saw nothing simiar. I want a floorstander for a few reasons. 1- Increases sensitivity 2-The dogs are less likely to knock it over. 3 Should improve low bass . So to answer the final question-I have looked at Madisound, Troel, Meniscus. The goal here is to own something that wows not just pacifies me. Below is what I just sold.

Ugga, Where do i find the original uncommon man specs? Whats PR? I have been lucky in that boomy bass has never been an issue.
The 72 page Monkey link likely a picture/price somewhere right? I am open to all suggestions of where to look at kits/designs or brands.
I can't put speakers out 2-3 feet from the wall so no Open Baffle or Planar stuff. Front or bottom ported box or no ports best.

..... what I just sold.
It might help to get better advice if you want to explain why you moved those speakers on?
BMan-Thanks for the education.
Kaz- Electrostats are the best solution for me agreed. Except for the dogs. 3 feet into a room I can't do. The last 4 years I rolled out the big Tannoys
and rolled back. Done with that now. Main reason I let the Tannoys go is to make listening easier and to get more top end sparkle.

So you need a speaker design that:Main reason I let the Tannoys go is to make listening easier and to get more top end sparkle.
- can sit against the wall and still image well enough
- comes "alive" at very low volume
- plenty of top end
- superb midrange for female vocals
- will need some low punch for drums and acoustic bass

Jeff Bagby Helios kit is available here with links to a write up of the design and box size - https://meniscusaudio.com/product/the-helios-loudspeaker-kit/

PR is Passive Radiator, looks like a woofer but has no motor to drive the cone, the cone reacts to the main woofer movement in a sealed box. Basically a replacement for a port where the port would be too long to fit in the box or where you want a slightly shallower roll off slope.

Or this one from Alexander Heißmann. Very competent designer and well-documented on the measurement part. Ok the original plan has the BR ports on the back. But since your listening level demands are pretty low, I’d pick a smaller system. In that case, the Helios is a good example.
Even better, consider an in-wall design, since you will not roll them out anymore. The designs as yet discussed will not perform at their best with backsides on the wall. Probably even pretty mediocre, if I’m following my own experience here. You‘d have to consider a cardioid design, if I may say, have a read on designs like the D&D 8C. Or Genelec, for that matter. They really pay attention to the front wall (the wall you are looking at when you are looking at your speakers, that is).

Plus extra costs for tools, clamps, glues, finishes, extra bits and pieces, courier, divorce lawyer ....
Was it mainly the imaging and bass that was compromised up against the front wall? The designs as yet discussed will not perform at their best with backsides on the wall. Probably even pretty mediocre, if I’m following my own experience here.

Do you have an attic space above the listening room? If you do get some reconditioned Acoustat 2+2 or 3's for $1500, customise the bases and cut slots in the ceiling so the panels descend on electric winches when you want to listen, with the ease of a flick of remote 😊
Jim Salk had his new Purifi Be speaker $6k, The AudioNote Hemp $6k, The MBL baby $12k, Ikon Powered $10k, and others were grabbing my attention. The attached photo shows the new Polk L200's just received for our August 27th exhibition. One of 14 models. AZAVCLUB.com
