Orion 275R

Orion 275R 0770-5110 Rev D 8/16/99.

Never seen a PIC16 damaged this bad. I suppose this is going to be non repairable unless someone has the firmware laying around? Another DIP16 blown to shreds. Not sure what it is.

Not familiar with the old school stuff but I do know how to program and have the tools to do it.

@Perry Babin do you know the value of the resistor in the attached photo?

This is the same amp in this thread: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/orion-hcca-275g4.113663/

I still have this amp and working on drawing out the preamp section in kicad in order to bypass the pic16 but also can I ask, what is is the function of the DG405DJ (U10)? Would I be able to bypass the PIC16. DG405, and DS1267-100 and still have an amp that functions? I can get replacements for everything except the PIC if needed.

The DS1267 and Pic seem straight forward by jumping the In and out of the high, low, and wiper?

If you're drawing a diagram, the main Orion page (at the bottom) and the 600pt4 pages have partials.

I think the electronic switch is controlled with by the front panel switches, not the PIC.

As far as I remember (15-20 years?), all you have to do is bypass the digital pot and the power for the LED.

180 ohms on an extreme 1200. The board number is 0770-5110. The boards look similar.
