Hi,
I have these drivers and want to build a decent sounding enclosure for 4 x drivers, and 2 x drivers ( 2 diff projects) any suggestions / advice or plans
Thanks

FYI/FWIW its Qts' ideally requires near IB sealed or some form of TL/horn, so for now the questions are how much added series resistance is likely to be in the circuit and how big can you 'afford' and/or will DSP be used to compensate?
[Qts']: [Qts] + any added series resistance [Rs]: http://www.mh-audio.nl/Calculators/newqts.html
[Rs] = 0.5 ohm minimum for wiring, so may be higher if a super small gauge is used as a series resistor plus any added resistance from an XO/whatever.

Also a double chamber reflex- ah! The pioneers! - in the two variations of the DCAAV and the other...(the one with the three ducts, one placed across the divider of the two chambers, but the bigger one containing the mw, contrary to the DCAAV in where the woofer is placed in the smallest chamber, thus achieving a better behavior than TL/MLTL because of the separation from the big resonating 2nd chamber...) this is intended for 1 speaker- not liking double voices for emission of sound
2 drivers?! Isobaric!ah! The pioneers!
There are 3 or more variations of Isobaric...

So I guess large sealed enclosure to house 4, as I haven't seen no plans of boxes for these speakers, but I have heard of the TABAQ bookshelf box, is thya any good?Greets!

Have a search for the Hilding Horn on this site. If you read through the thread there is a scaled up plan for the Faital 4" driver.
I have a few of these drivers and was thinking of giving that horn a go. You can just scale it up for as many drivers as you want!

I meant relatively large for just a single driver due to its very weak motor, so whatever it needs to be x # of drivers.
So you. Think the enclosure is too big for a, single driver?I meant relatively large for just a single driver due to its very weak motor, so whatever it needs to be x # of drivers.
The TABAQ is a great design and very rewarding build. So I guess large sealed enclosure to house 4, as I haven't seen no plans of boxes for these speakers, but I have heard of the TABAQ bookshelf box, is thya any good?
It was used for at least one member in that thread. For your single driver per box design, it would be hard to do better than that.
I meant the driver's specs ideally require an acoustically large cab and if you mean the Hilding horn, I'm not familiar with it though at a glance it will in theory work OK with some fine tuning if increased to a net volume (Vb) = ~8.58 L, which is acoustically large relative to its ~2.4 L Vas spec.So you. Think the enclosure is too big for a, single driver?
This is per driver, so 4x larger in (Vb), though this is based on a 1.0 Qtc' (0.884 Qts') sealed cab, so will need to be simmed to see if it can be shrunk any.
I have build a 4Fe32 in a box before. My comment is, it might be worthwhile to build a notch filter at 8kHz... That peak can be a bit annoying, other than that it sounds great. I haven't done that myself though... But I plan to...

4FE35 works great sealed in about 3 to 4 litres volume.
Notch is definitely required for easy listening.

A TL will indeed be the most logic use for this driver in a single driver fullrange setting. I can reach 60Hz F3 like that in a MLTL. I did design once one for a guy that was 20cm deep, 20cm wide and 100cm long (internal sizes) with a 20x2 cm slot port of 18mm (the thickness of the wood panel used) at 25cm of the bottom of the cabinet (internal size). The driver was 40cm from top of that cabinet (also internal sizes). It needed internal damping off course but that was reasonable flat to 60Hz and could do that to about 95dB before runing out of xmax. That guy build it and uses it with a small sealed commercial sub he had crossed at f3 of that cabinet.
Just read there are so many tabaq designs short, tall, normal and bookshelf, I'm thinking going for the normal or bookshelfThe TABAQ is a great design and very rewarding build.

Not really. The original was for 4" drivers. The updated one has a vent better suited to 3" drivers.Just read there are so many tabaq designs short, tall, normal and bookshelf, I'm thinking going for the normal or bookshelf
The TABAQ Large is for 5" and 6" drivers.
Finally, there's a folded version to be put on a desk.
I tried the folded version, but it misses some of the characteristics the straight line and positioning has.
Unless you absolutely need a folded version, I'd stay with the original plans, better suited for the 4".
