According to the seller only tray pack has 'Japan' marking on 2sc5200/1943 transistors & there is no mention of 'Japan' in the strip pack(see attachment). I believe these are 100% authentic, what do you think? 🙂
Best Regards!
Edit:- These aren't original but good quality chinese copies. My apology to everyone.

Hello
Break one and see what the silicon pill looks like.
Otherwise the transistor looks too good!
Who is the seller, because that says a lot.
Best regards

those looks lke fake to me. . i have bought similar looking fakes- they do not have shiny surface and letters are similar with yours. and they do atach magnet. on the other hand I have bought originals ant they looks similar to hicoco pics- smooth shiny surface with thin numbers.

I'm not sure its me who want you convince that those are fake or you want convince my/yourself that those are genue? I just tried to help and said those definately look like fakes. ataching my fake vs genue . my fake "manufacturers" have at least have similar letering to toshiba, but front is not smooth its sanded. yours have completely diferent marking.

Test that capacitance. But if you have a *lot* of them, just smash one open and look.
When I bought 250 each MJL21193 and 21194, and 150 2SA1302 from outside normal distribution channels, I paid for a handful, smashed them open right there in the store AND checked capacitance, then bought the lots when I was satisfied.

There not going to tell you. They will just advise you to buy them where you are supposed to and pay full price. If you don't and get burnt it IS your own fault.

I started this thread to know if anyone had similar experience like me, not to convince myself. I find only one thread which i already shared. In that thread a respected diyaudio moderator confirmed authenticity of this 'rare' 5200/1943 package. Your transistor looks very different than mine. Those who counterfeits transistors always tries to copy common original version just like yours. I sourced these tr from a reputable dealer & approved by a good PA technician. So i have some good reason to believe that these transistors are genuine. Best regards!

Ok then build up a quick amp using two pair per channel on +/-50 volt supply, hook up a 4 ohm speaker and crank it up. You’ll know real quick.
Like this little amp - which was just used as a test bed for a comprehensive set of protection circuits for something much larger still in development. Motorola PNPs and Toshiba NPNs, all pulls from old equipment so I was sure they were real. The protection circuits would have prevented fire and speaker damage, had they been fakes.

I'll Mr. wg.ski & you are going to help me😀 Very soon 🙂
I already shared the link of that eye opening thread now i'm sharing a youtube link (regional language, see the last minute clip) for information purpose. Here in india urban & rural PA operators (they're crazy) extensively use this 5200/1943 package & they found this transistor as very rugged.
TOSHIBA Transistor 2SC5200/2SA1943 ORIGINAL & DUPLICATE kaise pehchane || Unboxing of TOSHIBA tran.. - YouTube
No chance 😀other approach is with hammer, open it and see the size of the die

Real ones *are* more rugged than the data sheet indicates. But fakes explode.
Most all Toshiba outputs will take more than the data sheets indicate. The old C3281 could take incredible abuse (more than the 5200, but it was RATED full power to 70 volts). The old 2SD424 would pass RCA’s 2N6259 torture test (2.5A, 100V, 1 second). Data sheets said full power to 70V, not 50% over at 100. Difference between guaranteed and what you can usually get. With fakes all bets are off.
