I believe lots of members here use Raspberry Pi for music streaming. Some of you may also be Deezer members and therefore I'd like to ask you for your help.
I've created a thread on Deezer Community forum suggesting that it would be great to have Deezer Connect functionality on our Rpi streamers:

I’ve created pleezer: an open-source, headless streaming player built around the Deezer Connect protocol. It acts as a remote playback device that can be controlled from the Deezer mobile app. Note that Deezer Connect only works from mobile devices - you cannot control pleezer from desktop apps or the web player.
Important: A paid Deezer subscription is required to use pleezer. The player will not appear as an available device in the Deezer app if you're using a Deezer Free account.
pleezer does not and will not support saving or extracting music files for offline use. This project is committed to respecting artists' rights and strongly opposes piracy. Users must not use pleezer to infringe on intellectual property rights.
To comply with Deezer’s Terms of Service, no decryption keys are included in the code.

Deezer is shutting down the backend for Deezer Connect, the protocol that allowed remote control across devices. For many DIY setups — particularly those built around moOde, Volumio, or Linux-based streamers — this is bad news.

To be honest - I do not care about Deezer at all, I do not use it (like any other streaming service). If the service owner decides they do not need the subscribers who prefer the service to other (many) options because it offers a reasonable way of integration, their loss. I understand you put a lot of effort into pleezer (the name of which I find clever, with reference to that deeezer forum thread) which I absolutely appreciate and am grateful for - because it's an amazing example of a modern complete Rust project (the same rank as e.g. CamillaDSP) which I can learn a lot from. Unfortunately it all revolves around a proprietary service which can be discontinued by the owner at any moment...
