Condensers in power supply

greetings have to make a linear 5 volt dac power supply
can anyone recomend best possible caps 10000uf 35 volts
any particular brands that can improve the power supply

The best does not exist ... You can try Nichicon KG Type.

Nichicon is a good reliable brand of capacitor. Can't go wrong using them.

35V caps for a 5V linear supply? Cap volume/mass goes as voltage squared, you can use far smaller/cheaper caps if you can use, say, 10V rated ones.

Just a quick question, I want to assemble a five channel power amp using five mono mosfet amplifiers, each has a voltage range 15 to 70v, 150 watts in to 8 ohms. I am also using 3 dual rectifier boards 100v 120a. My question is can I parallel 3 transformers to power each rectifier board or use one transformer and connect the rectifier boards from dc out to ac in

Or parallel smaller caps like two 4700 uF or four 2200 uF capacitors. That will lower esr and increase the ripple current rating of a single 10000 uF.

I used to be a car mechanic and the distributor had a condenser in it.
Just an old name.

Yup, replacing "points, plugs, condenser and cap" did it many times growing up, it was called a "tune up". Then pull out the strobe, hook it to spark plug number one, turn and lock the distributer until you reach "top dead center" on the flywheel! 🙂

My pappa got sick of that and ripped it out and put in a 'transistorized' ignition!
